When is happiness ?

In this new program from HappyGayTV & You (8), where we all share together the best messages left on the Hot-line, the internal messaging of all HappyGayTV followers,  we will explore a variety of themes which, at at first glance, seem disparate, but which share an essential common thread: the quest for happiness within the LGBTQ+ community. From the offbeat humor of a gag featuring a bottle of champagne, to the recommendation of an inspiring book written by a gay author, each segment of our video captures moments of joy, escape and reflection.

We will also tackle more serious and poignant subjects, such as the testimony of an autistic follower who struggles to find his place in the community, and criticism of the evolution of Paris gay pride. Each of these stories reflects admirable resilience and ongoing adaptation, key elements in the pursuit of happiness. Finally, a touch of creativity and nostalgia is brought by a construction game based on the setting of the show “Queer Eye”, enhanced with the unexpected presence of a Disney character, well known to young and old alike.

Through this analysis, we discover how humor, irony, resilience and adaptation intertwine to form a path to happiness, enriching the diversity and unity of our LGBTQ+ community.

Humor and Irony: Moments of Happiness

Humor and irony play a central role in creating moments of happiness within the LGBTQ+ community. In our video, the gag with the champagne bottle perfectly illustrates how moments of lightness and laughter can bring joy.

Likewise, the recommendation of Nicolas, a Belgian follower, for the book “Paris-Briançon” by Philippe Besson, adds a dimension of escape and personal development. Nicolas explains that he likes this author because Philippe Besson, being gay himself, always includes a gay character in his novels. This allows us to move away from hetero-normative fiction and dive into a universe closer to the reality of diversity. For Nicolas, reading this very moving book gives him a lot of pleasure and moments of happiness.

Finally, in another segment of our video, a character from the Disney universe makes a surprising appearance in the setting of “Queer Eye”. Known for the wonderful universe created by Disney, which makes people dream and happy by taking them away from their worries, this negative character contrasts with the positive and inclusive atmosphere of “Queer Eye”. This contrast adds a touch of irony and celebrates LGBTQ+ diversity and creativity, while bringing a fun surprise to our viewers.

Resilience and Adaptation: Journey to Happiness

Resilience and adaptation are key elements in the journey to happiness within the LGBTQ+ community. In our video, Thierry, an autistic follower, shares his poignant testimony. Thierry explains how he was often rejected by the gay community, a heartbreaking paradox since this community is supposed to be inclusive. His intervention is a real cry for help and a call for awareness. Thierry hopes his story will inspire the community to be more welcoming to those who are perceived as different. We encourage everyone who watches the video to send a comforting message to Thierry via our channel's internal messaging service, the Hot-line, available on our website HappyGayTV.com.

Ludo, another follower, expresses his disappointment regarding the last gay pride in Paris. He misses the thermal floats, which were once a major attraction with handsome shirtless guys dancing, adding to the festive spirit of the event. Ludo thinks that he will rediscover the joy and happiness of attending gay pride if it becomes a party like before, by welcoming floats again, whether thermal or not. He does not understand the reason for this ban, especially since, three weeks later, Paris welcomed French army tanks for the July 14 national holiday parade, very thermal tanks. This inconsistency underlines for Ludo the need to rethink the restrictions to rediscover the festive and inclusive atmosphere of gay pride and indirectly invites the inter LGBT to question themselves, for the greatest happiness of everyone.

Thus, whether through Thierry's moving testimony or Ludo's critical reflections, we see how resilience and adaptation are paths to greater happiness and greater inclusion.

Conclusion

To conclude, we explored how humor, irony, and happy moments combine with resilience and adaptation to form a path to happiness within the LGBTQ+ community. The gags and reading recommendations bring joy and escape, while Thierry's poignant testimonies and Ludo's critical reflections highlight the importance of inclusiveness and celebration in the search for happiness.

Humor and resilience are essential to achieving happiness. They help overcome challenges while celebrating diversity and inclusiveness. We invite all viewers of the show to react to these themes, in particular to send a message of consolation to Thierry via the Hot-line, our internal messaging on the HappyGayTV.com site. You can also comment on the other subjects covered in this video, or even suggest new subjects by leaving an audio or video message on the Hot-Line.

A discrimination case far from what we would immediately think of as an LGBT person. Next, a look back at the controversy about the Marche des Fiertés 2023, Paris Gay Pride, following one of our latest micro-trottoirs

regarding the ban of floats, during the parade. We will then follow up with updates on the progress of development work on a construction game, mentioned by Chris 92 in a previous broadcast, with the inclusion of a weird character... And now, our first “happiness videos, starting with, a funny video and then a quick reading suggestion very nice, coming from Belgium, thanks to Nicolas!

Check this out!

Hi Marco, hi Roseline, Hi HappyGayTV viewers. This is a quick message to share with you, my latest reading pleasure, as I recently read the latest novel of Philippe Besson, published by Julliard entitled: Paris-Briançon. It's a book that moved me to tears and is telling the story of the fate of about ten

passengers who will spend a night together on a train and experience an event that will impact them and change them forever, I think... And so, this book really moved me to tears and I felt I had to share this with you. You should know Philippe Besson, has already published over twenty novels. There's almost always a gay protagonist in the story, which makes it cool, and helps, at least for me personally,

to relate to the character, since the hero isn't always heteronormative. So that's super interesting. Plus, this book here, I've been able to read it in one sitting, and if I managed to read it that easily, you'd think his writing style is quite simple. Yet, it's only apparent, because I think that Philippe Besson, is always on the lookout, to find the most exact word possible,

for the most accurate expression, which makes reading extremely smooth and effortless. I really had a lot of fun reading this book, and I recommend it to all HappyGayTV viewers who are looking for for a good book. And then a small suggestion for the channel, well, I'd be interested in having from time to time, one or two segments about literary criticism

and or gay-friendly cinema criticism. So there you go, if you're interested, I'm ready to share my all time favorites with you. I send you a big kiss and see you soon. Thanks Esteban for this funny video, we all loved it and so we are, as you can imagine, eager for this kind of video. And yes, the Hot-Line, our messaging service, that's what it's for, because in HappyGayTV, there's Happy. So, grab your cameras,

and we look forward to your next funny video. As for you Nicolas, thank you too for your kindness. Thank you for taking the time to share with us this brief book review. You've got it all figured out of what the Hot-Line is all about and I thank you on behalf of all our followers for sharing this book recommendation. For a regular book, or film reviews? Why not! We need time to talk about it,

find the budget and the format for this section. Regarding the book Paris-Briançon, I haven't read it, but you've really got me, really interested to read it, so well done! As for Philippe Besson, I also wanted to point out that I went to the cinema, to watch a recently released movie, based on one of his novels with the magnificent grandson of Jean-Paul Belmondo, Victor Belmondo.

Here again, a gay character with a dark secret. The title of the movie is: Arrête avec tes mensonges (Stop with your lies). Thanks Nicolas and see you soon on the Hot-Line. Just like Estéban and Nicolas, it's up to you now to become the star. Create your account, post your video and ignite the HappyGayTV community. Just like Esteban and Nicolas, It's up to you now to become the star! Create your account, post your video

and ignite the HappyGayTV community ! [Sung]: HappyGayTV! Hello, my name is Thierry, 49 years old. autistic with asperger syndrome, diagnosed nearly ten years ago! When gays are subject to discrimination, which can sometimes lead to suicide, we automatically focus on homophobia, but we often forget discrimination committed by our own, the latter doing much more harm.

Sometimes violent rejection when, pushed by despair, begging for attention in a given place or at a club. And this is absolutely not age-related, it happened to me in my twenties as a matter of fact, right from my first day of being gay! Or getting rejected after a few dates with the rare people with whom you matched, or being called misfit when you

approach people directly, or unnatural, which is just beyond compare! To be told that you need a shrink more than love and and so on! So, after having been bullied at school first, receiving from the very moment of my gay emancipation, hostility, where I was rather expecting kindness, I ended up misanthropic! Thierry, first of all I wanted to congratulate you

for having the courage to leave us this touching and such personal message on the Hot-Line. Not so misanthropic after all, since you left this message to HappyGay TV's followers. I come to the conclusion that human race counts a bit more for you, I think. More seriously Thierry, I understand your emotional lack because I also felt that when I was young. And what I understood from this case,

is that the person on whom we've thrown our devotion, if I can put it that way, feels oppressed by this lack of affection. As if, you held that person so tightly in your arms for so long, that at some point, there's only one urge, is to free him or herself from this huge hug, somewhat overwhelming, if I do say so myself. It's a bit suffocating. Then, I think that what you're describing

is not only related to your personal situation. I myself have often found the gay lifestyle and more particularly the dating scene very intolerant, and I don't think I'm the only one to feel this way. And it's true, you'd expect a little more kindness. But actually, I think it's an induced reaction, an indirect consequence, of what we gays.., we've been through. We reject each other,

because we've been rejected. It's a bit like an abused child who, once grown up, will mistreat his own children, unless he becomes aware of this vicious circle. So yes, I think we all gays, should show a little bit more kindness to our fellow human beings and question ourselves how we behave with each other. Anyway, here on HappyGayTV,

we've actually wanted to create a channel, a caring community. That's why I'm inviting you, like Thierry, and many others, to join us, if you haven't already done so, by subscribing to the HappyGayTV Club, and also by leaving us us a message, or a comment on our internal messaging system: The Hot-Line. Leave a comforting message to Thierry, join the Hot-Line,

create your account and share your energy with HappyGayTV. Leave a comforting message for Thierry Join the Hot-Line create your account, and share your energy with HappyGayTV ! [Sung]: HappyGayTV! My name is Ludovic. I don't think a pride without floats, would be any more eco-efficient. First of all, with regard to Paris traffic.

Floats are what create somewhat, in quotes, the identity of a Pride. Without the floats, it looks like a union demonstration. Many gays and lesbians chose not to march this year. Next year, I don't know, since they'll also be hosting the Olympics. For me, a pride parade without a float, it's not festive, nor attractive. And on a personal note, I can't look at men shirtless, with disco music in the background.

It's less interesting and less attractive! Compared to the July 14th, carbon footprint, actually spikes, as it's calibrated to the nearest millimeter. They rehearse for hours and days. [Sung]: HappyGayTV! Actually Ludo, you mentioned a lot of interesting things about Paris Gay Pride in 2023,

which is now known as the Marche des Fiertés. For the record, we carried out a micro-trottoir. We investigated banning floats and what impact it had on the Gay Pride. In fact, you can watch this video by looking for this thumbnail on HappyGayTV.com, or use the search engine by typing: Gay Pride. What I take from what you say Ludo,

reacting to this report, is that if it's no longer a party anymore, many people may stop going, as said, one of our interviewees in our report. But also, what I understand, is that you point out an inconsistency in the decisions of our leaders by setting in perspective the fact that three weeks after the Paris Gay Pride, we were given the right to see

the big July 14th parade for the French national holiday. And in this case, no restrictions, even if the floats were of an utterly disparate nature, in fact, they were substancially extravagant! Not to mention the planes flying over the French capital. A regrettable carbon footprint indeed! In fact, from where I sit, and that's what also appeared from our micro-trottoir, I think, what you have to understand, is that the reasons of those marching

at the Gay Pride are many and varied. Some see it as a way of a way of raising their claims loud and clear, others just want to be able to meet each other and celebrate with other members of the LGBT community. Others, like you Ludo, want to check out the good-looking boys on the floats. So, it's true that if everyone no longer finds it satisfying, then we risk seeing a massive drop in visitor numbers, and consequently,

a genuinely lower media impact. Let's not forget that we live within a civilization where footage is key, and in the absence of original and strong pictures of the gay Pride, the spotlight on LGBT claims, risks ending up almost unnoticed. So, in my humble opinion, making gay pride a political demonstration, is totally counterproductive. In my opinion, it must also have a party aspect and no

decision should stand in its way. And yet, in 2023, we missed out the occasion to celebrate ten years of gay marriage in France. I wish there had been something special for this opportunity, to celebrate the moment, like fireworks for example, or simply, some colorful floats with beautiful LGBT married couples, for example,

on a huge birthday cake. And last but not least, Ludo, I also invite you to watch the report we shot, for the Gay Pride in Paris in 2022, where we expressed our concern that the word gay which also means happy, was hardly more present in this demonstration. As if that could announce the way ahead, of where the Gay Pride would turn in 2023, i.e. somewhat morose, Anyway,

that's just my opinion.

Just like Ludo, you can give your opinion on the gay pride and hit us with something bold. Leave us your message now! Now! Like Ludo leave your opinion on gay pride Hit us with something bold! Share your message now ! Now ! [Sung]: HappyGayTV!

Exclusively for HappyGayTV, news from the five fabulous boys and their loft. They've given us a hell of a boost gas pedal to push forward the construction of their super loft, and proud to show off their creative and supportive living space. Because yes, they're very supportive of each other, to make the world more beautiful and inclusive. You may notice the fully equipped kitchen,

with espresso machine, the best of the best! The superbly designed living room so you can remodel the world with friends, but mostly to rethink decoration. Well, if it isn't a Sister of perpetual indulgence who perhaps believes herself to be Snow White's queen, by the way! Well, she doesn't look very appealing, when you see her face! Perhaps it's simply because she was eliminated from Drag Race.

Well, you can't win every day! Chris92, thank you for for sharing the progress of your construction game. For the record, in this video, of which the thumbnail is displayed on the screen, and which you can find on the website HappyGayTV.com, in the section HappyGayTV & You, you told us about your purchase of this construction game consisting of recreating the set of the famous show: “Queer Eye”.

Chris, I think it's great to include a character, in this case: the Evil Queen in Snow White. But what gave you the bright idea to do this? Is the Queen a lesbian, transgender or queer? That said, from the looks she's giving, it must be long before the team makeover of Queer Eye. Anyway, that's just my opinion. [Sung]: HappyGayTV, ... Happy!

Just like Chris 92, create your account and share your magic. The HappyGayTV community is waiting for you! Now! Just like Chris 92 create your account and join us on the Hot-Line to make our star shine even brighter, now ! [Sung]: HappyGayTV, ... Happy! There you go! As you can see, my little ones,

we can talk about anything in this show. Book suggestions, construction games, debates about gay pride, discrimination or even funny videos. So, if you want to share something you feel strongly about, it's very simple, click on Hot-Line in the main menu and go with the flow, you'll see, it's very simple! Your comment, your voice, your ideas are important and know that without you,

this show wouldn't exist. So, leave us an audio or video message and join our community where diversity is celebrated and everyone finds their place. Thanks to you!
