Previously on HappyGayTV Hello, my name is Nicolas Fraisse, I came out twice in my life, the first time, as a homosexual and the second one, because I go through unusual and out of the ordinary experiences My first coming out about being gay, was quite complicated I would say ! At some point,

it led to think of wanting to end my life! And at that moment, a lady appeared in front of me ! This lady, was actually the one to tell me, "Stop it, stop it right now". My second coming out, I had to go through with it, because I experience altered states of consciousness. I have this capacity, since I was a child to get out of my body,

and thus be able to go to places where my body isn't ! As a gay man, sometimes, it can be difficult to find yourself, in a spiritual way, and it's even more difficult to find yourself in a religion. Because the actual established religions, so far, they're having a bit of trouble with homosexuality! A bit of trouble, this does not...

do it enough justice ! But, spirituality, has nothing to do with sexually, and I think that, with new experiences and the things I go through, I'm now able to grasp the immaterial with my bare hands. So, a form of spirituality. When I was younger, I've never really been attracted to, this non-material aspect of it. And I had to always, check and verify everything I was going through,

because of my super powers. So this spiritual aspect for me, it was more in the second, third or even fourth place. Ever since I finally liberated myself... from the fact, of constantly having to reassure myself, I was able to explore this part of the human being. Which is spirituality. Every night, before I go to bed, I go out and wander out into the cosmos. I can get out of my body, and soon, I find myself in space, surrounded by the stars, planets, nebulae, and I'm seeing things,

really exceptional. It's great, much more beautiful, than what you can see on the NASA photographs for instance. It's rather, a wonderful experience. And with these experiences, there's still a downside. Don't get me wrong, what I see is magnificent, but unfortunately, since I can't move around physically in space

to check everything out, and see if it's real, which it is, but still, all I can do is contemplate, wander and marvel at everything. But, uh.., I can't tell for sure if it's real or not.. During these cosmic trips, I did, experience things that were, beyond just observing. As far as I'm concerned, I've never come across large luminous entities,

that one might refer to as God! I did, come across, for that matter, a glowing light, something, that appeared to be alive, or that could have had a life of its own. Something that stood out truly from outer space, from what was around me. This presence reached out to me, saying to me: - "But what are you doing here"?

This interpellation, made me put an end to this experience, and so I came back to my body, because I was kind of, confused! It shook me, and left me with something that would lead me to think that there's something else, beyond, beyond this energy, this matter ! And I think that this awakened in me, this attraction to the hidden side of the set. If I may say so. I'm very careful, with what I'm saying,

or what I'm trying to pass along. What I mean by that is, I don't speak of religious precepts, or spiritual precepts, I'd rather talk about, who we really are. Can we say that we're nothing more than a body? Or just this light, this matter ? and is our conscience, only the result of our cells, our neurons to be more precise, interacting with each other?

Or is it something else ? Are we, beyond that. and in the end, this body, this matter, would only be a recipient, or a vehicle, or something that would allow something else, the real us, to experience materiality and physicality ? For me, spirituality, is a moving process, and I don't want actually to base my beliefs on dogmas, nor on scientific dogmas,

on the fact that : consciousness is the result of brain activity, nor on spiritual or religious dogmas, True spirituality, is a moving process it's the path to know yourself better... to know the real you, not the one you appear to be, the one with all these stereotypes, and expectations from society. Not the one, we'd like to be, but the one that we really are, deeply, and not to find answers.

For me the incarnation, helps with a significant part of the path. In my opinion, before incarnation, we've already made a good progress in our journey, throughout the incarnation, we also keep moving, and after that, we always keep moving forward! We're moving towards what? I don't know. Towards yourself, that's for sure! Physical death, material death, the death of the body, it exists.

That, on a physiological level, the heart stops, the brain stops, the body dies. But not the essence ! It's more of a conviction, than an affirmation. It's not ... It's not, that I know of it, but that I believe in it. These out-of-body experiences, have shown me, that my conscience, could be, in a place where my body, isn't. From this, I thought to myself, what if tomorrow.., my body had to die,

that part that actually travels, would keep on going! When I get out of my body, my body doesn't exist anymore. I don't have feel at all any part of my body. I'm no longer concerned about it, I don't care anymore, and I don't feel like I have any connection with it. So for me, starting from there, starting from this experience here, my body could die, but, that part of me would survive. So I think, that physical death exists,

but not the death of the spirit nor the conscience, no. As a nurse, I was able to live special moments, with people, who were at the very end of their lives, and who were on their deathbed.. And one example would be a grandmother, who would speak with long gone persons, while she was on her deathbed! but still, she wasn't technically dead! She was talking to people, who,

died long time ago. And me, I had no way of knowing who those people were. But, uh.., this grandmother used to tell, that she saw a lady with a large pink hat, and three feathers on it. She would say : - "Why did you put on that pink hat again"? At first, I didn't understand. And there was this old lady's grand daughter, who started crying,

and who said : - "But it's auntie uh... I don't know, I just... can't remember the name, who apparently used to always wear hats, a bit quirky, like that. When she had this vision, through my sensory capacities, through telepathy, I got the picture, for a split second, before she said what she had to say.

I was able to check, on my own, what she was going through, and it was true! It could have been a shared hallucination, maybe? Another strange phenomenon that had happened to me, of probably, the same kind. It's, uh.., when I was working in the intensive care unit, a man was admitted about 40 years old, who was rather, braindead, but his heart was still beating.

And when I started taking care of him, I had, uh.., I picked up this thought: "My daughter is coming! Lucie's coming! She's going to be scared, please help her !" And soon after, a young lady arrives at the department, at the unit airlock, because you can't just come in like that, a young girl

with his mother ringing the bell, distraught. And then the mother comes in, and said to his daughter: - "Lucie, wait for me here, don't come in"! You can't come in. The girl, Lucie... This couldn't have been a hallucination. For me, this, proves to myself, that the conscience is not located in the brain, because the brain was no longer functioning, and the fact that I picked up a piece of information,

that emanated from the person, but not from this physical person, who was there, but rather from his essence who's somewhere else. For me, it's another personal evidence that just because the body is dead, or that the brain is dead, that the person no longer exists. You can't separate life, from the spiritual life.

Life is spiritual! Having a beer, with friends, wholeheartedly, and enjoying it to the fullest, by being totally present in the moment, sharing this love, sharing this pleasure together, this is true spirituality. So for me, my life is spiritual. When I go to work, it's spirituality, because I'm giving something else to the world... when I'm giving someone a shot, It's not just a shot, it's beyond that, I'm putting myself entirely,

in this syringe, if I can say so! And, Laughter For me true spirituality, it's, it's just life... and living the moment to the fullest. If I had to say something, to the gay community in particular, or the world in general, it would be: be yourself, be yourself, and in order to be just yourself, you should start by finding yourself.

Try to take this journey to find yourself, to understand yourself, to know who you are, beyond what you want to appear to be, or what would be nice to be. Try to be simply who you are, deep inside. This, it's the most beautiful thing to do in this world, to stop pretending to be someone else, to stop hiding, and to assume who we really are.

But, before assuming it, you have to know for sure who you are. Get to know yourself first ! Not all gay men should come out of the closet. But, if they stay there, they really need to know why, deep inside. Are they doing it, because of something, or are they doing it, for them. Because if they do it because of something,

it might not be a good reason, or at least it might be. currently, a good reason, but it might not be so, later on. The important thing is, is not to lie to yourself, not to find excuses, to avoid doing so, or to not be completely who you are. Love yourself first, like really,

really, love yourself and then, you can love other people. First of all, love yourself. And then, if you want, love other people, but first love yourself. It's important, to love yourself. extremely down-to-earth. You can see that, the first time he started talking about these phenomena, that , were not easily understood in his environment, and didn't go so well, but that didn't stop him and it didn't shatter his ambitions to explain this phenomenon. He kept experiencing it, and carrying out his own tests, by himself. So I guess you could say, that he, himself, already have a scientific mind, because he tried, to verify the reality, of what he was going through. But also because he's a good spokesperson!

Claude Charles, this report shows also, that Nicolas has developed while you were working with him, new capacities Well, that's definitely true! We played the role of a stimulator. In other words, we were, always trying, to offer him new tasks to accomplish, new experiments to carry out. He was an extremely good listener, and he was incredibly collaborative, through all of this.

He wasn't relying on his past knowledge. Prior to that, we were talking to him about certain things, and it made him laugh, Damn straight! He said: "But that's not possible, that, that you still believe, people can go through this. And then, a few months later, he found himself going through the same situation, without sometimes even thinking about it. And it was quite amazing, to see that we could actually pinpoint the things that he made fun of, a few months prior.

Our collaboration as well, of course, was quite reassuring to him, and I think that's what helped him... go even deeper. It's just that we've been working on a safety net, little by little, to show him that we're here, with him and that he wasn't alone anymore, and we're here together to explore these unknown territories. Claude Charles was able to reassure him about his mental health, and help him as a therapist, and I reassured him as a scientist, by explaining to him, that, what could happen,

what we knew about these phenomena, and try to put a label on it, more of a scientific label. So... I think he allowed himself things, that he might have contained, if we hadn't been there. So, um.., in my opinion, that is what helped him develop, all of a sudden, plenty of other capacities. Sylvie, among these new capacities, Nicolas has developed clairvoyant qualities. Could you,

tell us briefly about this experiment. Here, we're not talking anymore about out-of-body experiences, that's another phenomenon, that we learned about with Nicolas, which is ... basically, it was a phenomenon rather, let's call it clairvoyance. We just asked him, to try and guess, what was in a sealed envelope, that had been sealed by a bailiff. There has been a phenomenon quite astonishing, let's call it a clairaudience, where he heard voices,

that, would provide him with extremely beautiful lyrics, incredibly poetic, that allowed him all of a sudden to make his choice, very easily. The first few sentences, were, a bit of a charade, short texts, a bit enigmatic. One day, he heard...: "Not Hood, but very funny"! Afterwards, we would show him four pictures.

He had to choose out of the four pictures, the one that he thought was in the envelope, and in fact, among the four pictures, there was a photograph of Muriel Robin! Not Hood, but very funny! Indeed, it turned out that it was actually Muriel Robin's picture inside the envelope! Nicolas scored on that test, 79 correct answers out of 100, it's about,

20% error margin ! It's quite impressive, isn't it? So, what you need to know, is that, in this kind of experiment, with four images, at best, the results we usually get, are around 30%. And the thing to know is... that the odds, usually represent 25 per cent of success, which means that we have one chance out of four, to give the right answer, just by chance. 30% in general,

is already considered to be quite significant, and interesting. Nicolas on the other hand, had a 79% success rate. Compared to the protocol, it's really amazing! You could say that we never get that, in this kind of research. Then, what we can also say, is that we would have done better than him! In other words, every time we were able to see his texts, we were trying to, also,

imagine what it would be like or what it could be. And we realized, that sometimes Nicolas, maybe because he's still very young, he didn't have all the information he needed and that why he picked the wrong answer. Maybe, maybe because he's still young. An example? He heard a song, but he didn't know that song and so

Sylvie told him, "Just sing that song to us." And, she recognized, that it was... from the movie Rocky, the, first Rocky Balboa, and Nicolas didn't know anything about it, since it's not really of his generation, he'd never watched that movie before. And the things is, within the four images, there was the picture, of, Stallone from the movie Rocky! And at that time, Nicolas was quite scared of this situation Because up until then, he was trying to find an explanation for everything,

and he says to himself, maybe it's my subconscious, that picks up this information,, or my intuition, and then, internalizing everything, that may be the reason why, I hear these kind of voices that are, sort of, speaking to me. And now, all of a sudden, thinking, that he was getting information, that he didn't know, he has quite frightened that day, to the extent that he wanted to stop everything. This kind of experience,

with these voices coming from the outside, somehow cripples, this materialism theory, which states, that nothing exists in the absence of matter? Materialism, seems I would say, clipped pretty good ! It's a series of concepts, that we adopted, to work. So we work, as scientists, within this framework that has been defined. In other words, we're going to come up with hypotheses,

that cannot be outside of this framework, and we're going to interpret our results, within the same framework. And we can definitely say, that it has now reached its limits. There are more and more researchers, who realize that. Altered states of consciousness, are, let's just say, like a grain of sand in mechanics, the machinery of materialism, because materialism can't explain these altered states,

unless by claiming that they are hallucinations...! Because, if nothing else exists in the absence of matter, consciousness is not then capable of leaving the body, and going for a walk, and doing things all by itself. So, obviously the brain is the only one, creating these illusions. However, the results of our research, that we have conducted with Nicolas, and that we show in the book, suggest very strongly, that these are not hallucinations.

So, if these are not hallucinations, it means that materialism got it all wrong. Claude Charles in this report, Nicolas urges gays and the world more generally to get to know themselves.
